• SiddharthPai and ShreyasPai of Std IV brought laurels to our school by winning First prize in inter school quiz competition, Gap Quest, Basic level 1, conducted by Pick Brain GiriBalasubrahmaniam. Rahul. R and SudhanshuAgarwal were adjudged as second runners up in Basic level 2 Gap Quest.

  • MeeraManoj of class IX won second prize for Poetry Writing in Inter school NIE Funfest conducted by Times of India at Palace Grounds on 16th Jan.
  • Nisha MaheshPanicker of Std IX participated in the East Cultural Association Children’s competition and secured first place in Billiards Competition and third place in six ball snooker competition.
  • On the eve of Children’s Day A.I.R broadcasted a few Kannada songs sung by some of our students. The songs that were rendered were part of an Opera in which the students had participated. The lyrics of the songs were penned by one of the primary teachers, Mrs. Vasumati Ramachandra and set to tune by our music teacher Mrs. Sandhya Ranjan.
  • Trisha Hegde and Keerthana P Shroff of Std IV C participated in the 8th Ramesh Padukone Mehul Sirukr Memorial Inter – School Badminton Tournament sponsored by ‘Yonex Sunrise’ conducted in November, 2011. They were declared Runners– up in the under 12 years girls doubles event and each one was given Rs. 200 as cash award. Keerthana P. Shroff secured Runners– up position in singles in under 10 years category and she was given cash award Rs. 300/-.
  • 17 students of class VII have qualified for the National Duke University Talent Identification programme, after scoring 95 percentile or higher in the Asset Tests 2011 and 13 of them have taken up the second level test. Results are awaited. Educational Initiatives which conduct Asset has a tie up with Duke university, USA to identify the top academic talent in India.
  • Purva A. Gokhale of class VI won bronze medal in 6th National Level Student’s Art Competition conducted by Lalithakala Center for Visual Arts. She has also won Hall of Fame certificate and was inducted into the 3 peel Hall of Fame 2011.
  • Nishant V. Kumar was felicitated at Times of India NIE meet for highest number of entries. He has written many articles on major issues concerning children around the globe. Meera Manoj was selected as the Star Correspondent for Times NIE.
  • MUN (Model United Nations) conference was attended by Chidambaram.P, Vidushi Rai, Abhilash Menon and Karan Suresh. They represented USA, North Korea and South Africa. Karan was awarded ‘The Best Crisis Manager’.
  • Participation in Google Science Fair-2011: An International Virtual Science Fair was held in which our project on Intravenous Fluid Level Control done by Nishanth V Kumar, Anish Malladi and Krishna V Betai of Class IX, was one amongst the 20 semi finalists selected. Other projects registered for the fair are, Ink consumption for Different Fonts by Meera Manoj and Karan .S.-Class IX, Umrella Madness by Malini Rao and Abhijith Venu Gopal- Class VIII, Flexi Set Square by Sarayu Krishnan and S. Kavya - Class X, Estimating the Area of Regular Polygons in Terms of Squares having same perimeter by Varun.V of Class IX.
  • Our project on Heat Shielding Characteristics of Different Types of Umbrellas has been selected for participation in the National Fair scheduled to be held at Chandigharh during November, 2011.
  • Best Coordinator Award : Our school won the Best Incharge Award for Karnataka for 2010-11 in the 13th National Science Olympiad. Our school bagged this award in the 7th and 10th National Science Olympiad as well

  • St.Thomas school is conducting an array of inter-school competitions to mark their silver jubilee celebrations. Nishant. V of class X was presented the Best Speaker Award in Debate Competition. Sarayu Krishnan and Nishant together stood as the Winning Team. Shriya P.J was awarded First Prize in Light Music and was given a cash reward.
  • Frank Anthony Memorial held All India Inter-School Debate Competition conducted by ICSE Council. Nishant.V and Sarayu Krishnan from std-X won stage II- Zonal final and got qualified for the national level. They secured the Best Speaker and Winning Team Awards.
  • Nishant and Sarayu teamed up once again for the Clarence School Debate Competition and won the Best Team and Best Speaker Awards.
  • Sai Pranav and Bhumika Srihari, of Std VII secured 3rd places in the Sub Junior Boys and Girls category in the 41st Tennis Tournament held in Salem district, Yercaud conducted by the Monfort Residential School. They were given a cash award of `900 each.
  • Siddharth Nayak of Std IX participated in the Karnataka State Level ICSE swimming champion ship held at Basavangudi Aquatic Center, Bangalore and secured First place in 50 mtr and 100 mtr free style and 50 mtr Back Stroke and he will be taking part in National ICSE Swimming championship to be held on 15th and 16th of October, 2011 in Mysore
  • Students of SishuGriha have once again crowned the school with their astounding success in ICSE and SSLC. Every student emerged as a winner with 100% pass. More than 50% of students have achieved 90% as overall aggregate.

  • ASSET WEEK WINNER: Sishu Griha emerged national winner in the Asset Week celebrations conducted by Educational Initiatives and received a trophy and a memento. About 150 schools participated in the Question making and Booklet designing competitions and the Asset Ambassadors initiative and the national winner was decided on the basis of the quality of work done and the Asset Week report.
  • The school’s Asset coordinator, Mrs Madhulika Chandrakumar , received the best coordinator award for her efforts in the conducting of the activities over the years and the compilation of the Asset Report. She received a certificate and a netbook as a prize.
  • Sports Achievements:
    • Vaishnavi Jayan of Std ‘V C’, participated in the True Bounce Tennis Tournament held on 5th March 2011 and won First Place in the category of under 10 years.
    • AROHI RAO of Std `II C` was the runner-up in the Tennis Tournament held by Bangalore’s True – bounce Academy in the under – 10 age group. Arohi’s consistently sharp forehand drive saw her breeze through five rounds to be in finals where she finally succumbed to Ahimanyu of Std III.
