Observation

 

is a part of the Montessori Method. In Sishu Griha, it is compulsory that all the parents should come for observation regularly

 

House visits

 

We have a programme called ‘house visits’ in the Montessori, in which we take the children to visit other children’s’ homes. It is a part of the ‘Social Behaviour’ activities, which helps to improve the bond between the child, teacher and the parent

 

Graduation

Graduation is the last and most important function in the Montessori; it is a celebration to mark the child’s passing out of the Montessori and enter into Class One. Parents are invited to the ceremony, usually held just before we close, in April. The children perform cultural activities and parents speak about their impressions of the Montessori, then the children are given certificates and a traditional welcome into Class One.

 

Room mothers

We have a group of mothers, who come and help us in the environment with activities like craft work, music, dance, and celebrations .They are called ‘room mothers’. At the end of the year, we arrange for a get-together with our room mothers.
