RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. During the school day, if a student needs to leave the school premises, he/she must take the permission from the class-teacher, written permission from the Co-ordinator and intimate the school office.
2. Punctuality and regular attendance is compulsory for every student. Each child must abide by the holidays granted by the school and not prolong vacation and holidays without genuine reasons.
3. Request for leave of absence has to be made to the Principal! Headmistress in writing, well before hand, indicating the class and section of the child and the reason for absence.
4. Children must be present on the first and the last day of the school after/ before every school vacation.
5. Books, cardigans, bags, shoes and other articles brought to school must have the NAME and CLASS of the student written or stitched onto it. Any property found in the premises will be kept at the office. Students are requested to take proper care of their own property and also the property of the school. Unclaimed lost property will be given away to the orphanages after a week.
6. There should be a minimum attendance of 90% in the Academic Year.
7. Children of Std. I to VI should not stay in the school premises beyond 3.00 p.m. & those of Stds. VII to X beyond 4.00 p.m. on all working days, except during special sports practice, with prior intimation.
8. It is compulsory for every pupil to bring the HOME WORK DIARY to school everyday, the entries duly signed by the parent. Parents are requested to see the 'Remarks' column and take corrective measures if required.
9. Parents are requested to take prior appointment to meet the class teacher and not disturb during class hours.
The following aspects have been identified as causing problems to students, teachers and the institution.
- Misbehaviour in the class room and on the ground.
- Violent behaviour causing harm to other children.
- Using abusive Language.
- Bullying and ragging.
- Disrespect to the school authorities.
- Disobeying school and Library rules.
- Damaging school property.
- Dishonesty
- Wearing incorrect uniform.
- Constant distraction causing disturbance in the classroom.
- Bringing expensive and distractive things to school.
- Chewing gum in school.
- A Discipline Register maintained by the respective heads.
- If any misconduct is reported , the student will be warned once and teachers will scrutinize the behaviour of the pupils closely.
- Persistent misbehavior will entail detention of the pupils during Lunch Break for 15mts to 30mts. Parents will be intimated to review the matter.
- Extreme cases of misbehaviour calls for suspension or if needed expulsion from the school.
- If a student's name has appeared in the Discipline Register even once at the VII or VIII standard level, he/she will not be eligible for nomination for elections in the IX standard.
- The co-operation of the parents in seeing that the above - mentioned rules are observed, is vital. This is to ensure the best possible working environment for the pupils.
Parents are requested to view the above seriously and co-operate with the school management.
