Swimming Competition

 

Sahana Shanavas of Class II Participated in the Swimming Competition conducted by Indiranagar Club for the age Group of 7-9 in the month of May 2008 and secured II Prize in the 25mts Free Style and Back Stroke events.

Cricket Tournament

 

Boys from the Middle & High school participated in the B.T. Ramaiah Cricket Tournament conducted by KSCA in the month of July 2008 and qualified for the knock-out system which is to take place later this year.

Sports Meet

 

High School Boys and Girls participated in the State Level Regional Sports Meet conducted for ICSE schools on 22nd and 23rd of September 2008 at Sarla Birla Academy and secured the following prizes :-

 

1. Abhishek Lobo – IX  Swimming - I place in 50mts Free Style and II place in 50 & 100mts Breaststroke

 

2. Divya .M.  - XII place in Discus Throw, she has qualified  for the National Level, which will be held in  Hyderabad from the 7th to 9th of November 2008.

The Karnataka Badminton Association conducted the 3rd KBA Bangalore Inter School Badminton Tournament 2008 from the 9th to the 12th of August 2008. The following students won prizes in the event.

Girls Under 16

Team Event – 1st Position - Ashwitha Ravi, Divya Mohan, Nandita Paul    Class X       

Doubles – 1st Position - Divya Mohan and Ashwitha Ravi

Singles – Semi finalist - Ashwitha Ravi

Boys Under 16

Singles – Semi finalist - Shiv Nayak    Class VIII

Doubles – Semi finalist - Shiv Nayak and Ninan Abraham  Class VIII

The Fifth Prakash Padukone Badminton Tournament organised by the Canara Union Charitable Trust was held on 4th November 2008. The same students showed their mettle in this too.

 

Girls:

Team Event – 1st Position - Nandita Paul, Ashwitha Ravi, Divya Mohan    Class X

Singles – Runner Up - Ashwitha Ravi

Doubles – 1st Position - Ashwitha Ravi and Divya Mohan

 

Boys:
Singles – 1st Position
Shiv Nayak          Class VIII

Team Event - Semi finalist - Shiv Nayak, Ninan Abraham      Class VIII

 

Prathyusha of Class VII C participated in the same meet as above and secured III place in 50 mts Free Style and II place in 50 mts Back Stroke events.

 

Tanush Hegde of Class VI participated in the Shuttle Badminton Tournament conducted by Indiranagar Club in April 2008 and he was declared Runner-Up in the under 13 Single’s event.

 

Tanush Hegde of Class VI participated in ECA Club Badminton Tournament held during the I week of June 2008 and secured II place in Single’s and III place in doubles.
